Salary Range: $23 - $30 / Hour

Job Summary
The Corporation of the Town of Latchford is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Water Treatment / Public Works Operator.

Qualifications & Assets
• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence and a clear Driver’s Abstract
• DZ Licence considered a strong asset
• Water Treatment Class 1 Certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Experience in municipal public works, water treatment, or equipment operation considered an asset
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work safely in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Willingness to participate in overtime and on-call rotations

Responsibilities
• Water treatment and distribution system monitoring and maintenance
• Snow plowing, sanding, grading, grass cutting and road maintenance
• Operation of municipal equipment and vehicles
• Routine inspections, testing, and reporting
• Infrastructure and facility maintenance
• Responding to public inquiries and emergency situations

Compensation & Benefits
• $23.00 - $30.00 per hour and will be based on the successful applicant’s experience
