Job Summary
The Corporation of the Town of Latchford is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Public Works Operator.

Primary Duties
The purpose of this position is to assist the public works department in all aspects of maintaining municipal property and roadways.

Duties to include but are not limited to the following:
• Lawn maintenance and vegetation management of all municipal properties, including planting and maintenance of flower beds, grass cutting, exterior maintenance, etc.;
• Building maintenance of all municipal properties;
• Snow removal around entrances to municipal buildings and all municipal parking areas, as well clearing fire hydrants; and
• Roadway maintenance (road patching, litter pickup, etc.)

A DZ license would be considered an asset although it is not a job requirement.
All prospective employees are required to obtain and submit a Driver’s Abstract as a condition of employment prior to their start date.
The wages for this position will begin at $18.00 and will be based on the successful applicant’s experience.

Qualifications & Assets
• Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence and a clear Driver’s Abstract
• DZ Licence considered a strong asset
• Experience in municipal public works, or equipment operation considered an asset
• Ability to work safely in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Compensation
• $18 per hour
