The Draftsperson Position

As a Draftsperson, your responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements and setting up production methods along with making fabrication and installation AutoCAD drawings.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data for approval
• Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
• Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
• Identify potential operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards
• Design diagrams, maps and layouts to illustrate the workflow
• Calculating dimensions, weight limitations and requirements in materials
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Other job duties as required

Requirements and Skills

• Experience with bending and metal forming using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
• Proven work experience as a Drafts Person or similar role
• Knowledge of quality control principles
• Knowledge of drawing, AutoCAD, Inventor
• Comprehensive knowledge of basic software, such as Outlook, Word and Excel
• Excels in math and measurements
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask
• Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
• Work effectively under pressure
• Works well independently and in a team
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Our Work Schedule is 44 hours per week.

Monday’s-Thursday’s – 7am-5pm

Friday's - 7am-1pm
