Job Description:
As a RECE Supervisor, you will oversee the planning and direction of the programs of the centre while also maintaining the day-to-day operations, being responsible for the overall well-being of the children, and overseeing/directing staff members in compliance with the Early Child Care and Early Years Act (“CCEYA”).
The Supervisor will be responsible for providing leadership, mentorship and stability in the development and direct delivery of the program, as well as being energetic, dedicated, and an enthusiastic RECE professional able to exercise sensitivity and maturity when dealing with both children and adults.
Job Requirements:
● A degree or diploma in Early Childhood Education from a recognized college or university
● A degree, diploma, or post-graduate certificate in Early Childhood Management an asset
● An active member of the College of ECE’s in good standing
● 5 years experience as an Early Childhood Educator
● Experience working with children with various needs and children in all age groups an asset
● Strong communication skills including active listening and reading comprehension
● Critical thinking, monitoring and observing skills
● Time management and leadership skills
● Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel and willingness to learn others
● Staff scheduling, managing and payroll reporting
● Complying with all daily , weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual licensing requirements
We offer competitive wages and benefits. Starting salary between $75,000 and $85,000 yearly based on qualifications and experience.
Expected Start Date: To be determined but no later than January 1st, 2025.
