Job Summary
The Happy Dumpling is seeking one fulltime or two part time helpers to be in charge of the preparation of ice cream deserts for customers and help with general customer service such as taking orders.

The opening hours will be Thursday to Tuesday 11-7. Candidates would need to be willing to work one or two days of the weekend.

Responsibilities

• Scoop ice cream and prepare deserts such as sundaes
• Help give the boxes of prepared food to waiting customers
• Clean and stock ice cream area
• Assist in maintaining inventory levels and report what items need to be ordered
• Provide customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items
• Handle cash transactions
• Follow all food handling and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Answer phone as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry is an asset but not required
• A pleasant and helpful manner with customers and fellow workers
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Types:  Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract Length:  3 months
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected Hours:  24 – 40 per week
Flexible Language Requirement:  French not required
Schedule:  Monday to Friday; Weekends as needed
Language:  English (preferred)
Work Location:  In person
Expected Start Date:  2025-06-01
